Aerial Suspension Yoga in South Croydon

What Is Aerial Suspension Yoga?

Aerial Yoga is a movement-based practice that uses suspended fabric hammocks to support some or all of the body's weight.

The hammock can be used in many different ways.

Sometimes we stand on the floor and use the fabric for support. At other times, we lean into the hammock, suspend part of our body, explore a supported stretch or lift ourselves away from the ground.

Suspension straps introduce another dimension, allowing us to work with resistance, balance and bodyweight strength. This makes Aerial Suspension Yoga an unusually adaptable practice. We can use the equipment to make certain movements more accessible, or to introduce new physical challenges.

At YinWave, our classes combine:
Suspension-based strength exercises.
Supported yoga postures and stretches.
Balance and coordination challenges.
Gentle spinal movement and mobility.
Optional inversions using aerial silks.
Playful exploration and progressive skill development.

Each session introduces techniques that build familiarity, confidence and physical awareness.
